We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our staff of professionals and guide our organization to continued success. Founded in 1971, Universal Housing Development Corporation (UHDC) is an independent, non-profit agency providing a variety of housing-related services to our service area of Conway, Franklin, Johnson, Logan, Perry, Polk, Pope, Scott and Yell Counties in Arkansas. Our motto is “Helping People, Building Dreams” and we pride ourselves on listening to our clients and helping them to find the best method to meet their housing needs. The Executive Director (ED) is a full-time, salaried position reporting to the UHDC Board of Directors. The ED oversees day to day operations, financial management, and long term planning. If you are willing to contribute labor toward building your own home or repairing the home you already own, now is the time to apply for one of UHDC's Self-Help Programs. There is currently no waiting list for Mutual Self-Help Housing or Self-Help Home Rehabilitation so UHDC is taking applications immediately for these programs. We will work with clients to determine income-eligiblity and meet USDA Rural Development guidelines for funding. UHDC has been active in Self-Help programs since 1978 and over 1,200 new homes have been constructed by clients working with UHDC.
